A Way of Seeing Life

Author: Stephjag aka Steph

Life can be hard sometimes for some of us, but it’s always worth to live it, and when it’s getting us down, we have to stand up and fight back. With God on our side we’re able to do everything and with the power of love we’re unbreakable.

Saying that you didn’t deserve this or that or why me? won’t bring you anything. The only thing that it can bring you is bitterness and sadness.

Life is hard, but God is always with us, with each step we take on the road that is our life. God never sends us something that we are not able to support. Some of us are different – so what? It doesn’t mean that they matter less than others, and we all should learn how rich difference can make us.

But the most important thing is to never give up, never give in, and fight. And that’s what makes us a hero. I think we all are heroes without knowing it. Heroes are people that stand up every time life slaps them in the face. They get stronger and draw their strength and courage out of these same slaps.

That’s my intention and it should be everyone’s intention, ‘cause there’s always a sunray that’ll find its way through the darkest cloud. When the sun shines through the rain, it gives birth to a rainbow.

The most important thing is to keep that in mind, and never forget that there’s a hero within us.

This text was inspired by Christopher Reeve, his courage, his enthusiasm and his will to live; and it was also inspired by my favorite pilot and lawyer of the Navy: Harmon Rabb, Jr. - because of something he’d said to Bud in “Family Business.”

Christopher Reeve once said in an interview: “The only thing I have to give up is the physical participation in the world…” and I think it’s a thought that every disabled or handicapped person should keep in mind.

The most important things in life aren’t those you need your body for…

Bless you all,
Steph
