"Being in a wheelchair"
Being in a wheelchair isn't the end of the world. No, it isn't. True, it stops you from doing certain things - physically, yes, but it doesn't stop people from loving you, and it doesn't stop you from loving them back. It's not because you are in a wheelchair that your brains stops working. I'm not saying that it is easy to be in a wheelchair, no, not at all, but it's not because of the wheelchair that you can't have a life. Sometimes having a disease can open new doors - what I mean is that being the way I am has allowed me to do things that I'm sure I would never have done if I'd been able to walk. I've been able to help people in may own way and I certainly will help other people along the way like Christopher Reeve has done for thousands, even millions of people with his tremendous courage and willpower. If you have friends and if you're surrounded by love, everything is easier. One thing is sure: never forget that the only difference between wheelchair people and persons who can walk is that they go through life walking and you go through life wheeling; that's all. We are all special. Never forget that! Our bodies don't make us the way we are - it's our soul. Our bodies may be breakable, but not our souls; they're going to stay forever… We are who we are thanks to our souls and or hearts.
God bless you all, |
